■ The Fire’s Blessing in Every Piece
What truly defines Sea Breeze is the striking patterns, each one unique, that the glazes create on the surface of every piece. These subtle and unpredictable transformations, known in Japan as Yohen, occur naturally inside the kiln and are revered as a “blessing of fire,” where the unexpected becomes singular art.
Unlike the traditional Western mindset, which seeks symmetry and complete control over the material, Yohen embraces the beauty of chance, elevating the spontaneity of the process into an unrepeatable form of aesthetic excellence. The result is a series of one-of-a-kind designs that evoke the movement of flames or the gentle ebb and flow of water. Combined with the glossy finish of a vitreous glaze, it produces colors that are vivid and deep.
Beyond their visual impact, these Japanese tiles stand out for their smooth, delicate texture, offering a constant sense of calm and well-being.
Sea Breeze is available in a range of formats and colors.
The standard format comes in 316.2 mm × 316.2 mm sheets, each made up of 36 tiles measuring 49.1 mm × 49.1 mm. These sheets can be ordered with all tiles in the same type or as mixed sheets, combining different tile types in green or blue tones. There are also gradient sheets, available in both green and blue, which transition from lighter to darker shades.
Custom colors and tailored tile combinations are available upon request to suit each project’s specific needs.
